Bhagavad Gita is among the world’s oldest yet least understood wisdom texts. This 700-verse Sanskrit classic is a dialogue between Krishna, Divinity personified, and the warrior-prince Arjuna, who confronts a crisis on the verge of an epic war. The protagonists explore life’s grand issues: mortality and eternity, paths to enlightenment, the balance between inner and outer selves, and the fulfillment of the human heart. This introduction session will include a summary of the story, key vocabulary, and an overview of the Gita’s meaning in contemporary language and application.
